Blizzard 2016: One for the record books

Well, we made it! Winter Storm Jonas has come and gone, but not before dropping a record-setting amount of the white stuff on us. Places in Martinsburg reported snowfall of 36-40 inches, while our neighbors in Shepardstown, WV  reported as much as 42 inches of snow.

Many of you remain snowed in as contractors and DOT crews work around the clock to dig you out. While you wait to crawl out of your homes, why not take some time to share your storm pictures with us? Chances are, most of us will never live to see another storm like Jonas. Help us at the Berkeley County Historical Society by sharing your first-hand accounts of this record-setting event. Share your pictures and stories below, or email them to the Historical Society at: bchs@bchs.org.
